bZ4X Pure vs bZ4X Motion Specifications and Range
The bZ4X will be available in two different specifications – the front-wheel drive bZ4X Pure and the all-wheel drive bZ4X Motion. Both are powered by a 71.4 kW lithium-ion battery, which can be charged to 80% in just 30 minutes at a 150 kW charging station.* The Pure FWD model will get a 150 kW electric motor, whilst the AWD Motion will be specced out with two 80 kW motors.
A mid-size SUV, the bZ4X is nearly identical in size to the RAV4, with striking dynamic lines, infinite rear lighting, and a sleek side profile.
Both bZ4X specifications deliver a claimed range of up to 485 km** from a single full charge and are compatible with multiple charging options.

Charging the bZ4X
There are three convenient ways to charge the bZ4X.
Home wallbox charger
A home wallbox is an excellent choice for recharging your bZ4X while it’s at home, such as overnight or when it’s parked up in your garage.
Public rapid charging stations
The fastest way to recharge your bZ4X is using a public DC rapid charging station. A typical 150 kW public charging station can charge your battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Public charging stations are easily located using the ChargeNet map.
Standard outlet charging
Your bZ4X can be charged using a standard domestic outlet. Whilst convenient, it is the slowest mode of charging.
What does the bZ4X name stand for?
The bZ stands for Toyota’s newest future-focused badge in their product mix ‘beyond Zero’, whilst the 4 is the size indicator – in this case, a medium-large SUV similar to the likes of the RAV4.
*The charging time for an electric vehicle depends on many factors such as the type of connection, the state of the battery, the vehicle specifications, and even the temperature of the day.
