Celebrating Jimmy Wells – A Miles Toyota Club Legend

Jimmy from Linwood RFC has been recognised as a Miles Toyota Club Legend!

Behind every local footy club are passionate people who give their all. At Linwood RFC, Jimmy is one of those people. A true Club Legend, Jimmy has proudly served as Club Captain for over 20 years. His dedication and passion for Linwood Rugby shine through in everything he does – from Saturday duties and committee meetings to rolling up his sleeves for working bees and ensuring every event runs smoothly. His unwavering commitment continues to shape the club, both on and off the field. It’s safe to say he’s the true embodiment of a Club Legend.

A legacy of legends

As the Official Community Partner of Canterbury Rugby, Miles Toyota is shining a spotlight on the unsung heroes of grassroots rugby – the ones who’ve dedicated countless hours to their clubs and communities.

These legends enjoy the use of a Hilux for a few weeks (fully fuelled and ready for anything) a $1,000 donation to their club, and a national shoutout from Toyota New Zealand. A proud moment for the people who put in the work, week in and week out, and for their club.
