Škoda New Zealand has confirmed the extension of its long-running fleet partnership with New Zealand Police, continuing a relationship that has placed the brand behind the wheel of one of the country’s largest and most demanding vehicle fleets.

First established in 2021, the partnership saw the Škoda Superb chosen as the frontline patrol vehicle for New Zealand Police. According to Police data, the switch to Škoda has contributed to an approximate 20% reduction in fuel consumption and associated CO₂ emissions compared with the vehicles it replaced.

Under the extended agreement, Škoda will continue supplying and supporting vehicles tailored to frontline policing, with the Superb “Prime 1” remaining the core vehicle of the Police fleet.
