A Proud Night for Christchurch: Miles Kia Joins the Celebration at the Crusaders’ New Home

Christchurch stepped into a new chapter of live sport on Friday night as Super Round for Super Rugby Pacific arrived at One Stadium (Te Kaha), the city’s brand-new home for major events.

A new stadium always brings something extra. A fresh matchday experience, a bigger sense of occasion, and an atmosphere that lifts everything around it. On this occasion, it set the stage perfectly for a huge night of rugby in Christchurch.

Thousands of fans packed in to support the Crusaders, creating a wall of noise and colour as Super Round turned the city into the centre of the rugby world.

For Miles Kia, it was a proud moment to stand alongside the Crusaders as official partners and be part of such a significant occasion for Christchurch.

Showing Up Across the City

The build-up began in the heart of the city, with a supporter parade running from the iconic Bridge of Remembrance through to One Stadium.

Leading the parade was a Crusaders-branded Kia Seltos from Miles Kia, guiding fans through the central city as energy built toward kickoff. Red and black filled the streets, with supporters lining the route and moving together toward the stadium.

It was a simple but powerful reflection of what the weekend is all about; community, connection, and shared excitement.

Bringing the Experience to Life Outside the Stadium

Outside One Stadium, the atmosphere kept building.

The Kia Tasman on display became a key stop for arriving fans, with the Miles Kia team handing out custom rugby balls as supporters made their way into the ground. Families stopped, photos were taken, and the pre-match energy continued to rise right up to kickoff.

A Crusaders Win to Finish the Night

On the field, the home crowd had plenty to celebrate as the Crusaders delivered a strong performance to secure the win in front of a packed Christchurch audience.

The final whistle brought the stadium to life, rounding out a memorable opening Super Round experience in the city’s new venue.

Proud Partners in a Big Moment for Christchurch

For Miles Kia, this was about more than visibility on a matchday. It was about showing up for the community, supporting the game, and being part of a moment that matters for Christchurch.

From the parade through the city to the final whistle at One Stadium, it was a night that reflected the energy, pride, and momentum of the city right now.

We’re proud to stand alongside the Crusaders, and proud to be part of this new era of sport in Christchurch.
