Miles Kia Proud to Support The Long Run with the Crusaders

Miles Kia was proud to support The Long Run with the Crusaders, for a day that brings together fans, players, businesses and the wider community to run or walk for a cause that truly matters.

Now in its fifth year, The Long Run has grown from a single marathon during lockdown into a powerful community event that attracts thousands of participants and raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Child Cancer Foundation.

A near-kilometre course was set up around Rugby and Malvern Parks, allowing participants to complete as many laps as they liked throughout the day, with every lap contributing to vital fundraising and awareness for kiwi kids and their families.

Kia on the Ground

As a proud partner of the Crusaders, the Miles Kia team arrived Thursday evening to set up for the 6am start. We brought a Kia-branded gazebo, providing the team with a base to rest, store gear, and regroup between laps.

We showcased the new Kia Tasman Ute, complete with its Crusaders decal, at the first corner. It immediately caught the eye of participants and spectators, drawing plenty of interest and highlighting Kia’s presence at the event. It was fantastic to see our vehicles at the heart of the action, sparking conversations and excitement.

We also launched our Roll for the Ride campaign, with a sign for people to scan and enter, giving fans a chance to win the use of a brand-new Kia Stonic for the Crusaders season.

Team Effort for a Great Cause

Miles Kia General Manager Jodie led the team at The Long Run, with staff tag-teaming laps throughout the day. Even with all the running, Jodie kept on top of a few business calls – proving that dedication comes in more ways than one.

Two of our newest team members went the extra mile, running for hours and showing real grit and team spirit. The whole Miles Kia crew proudly wore branded t-shirts, representing the company while supporting an important cause.

A big thank you to everyone on the Miles Kia team for bringing energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of fun to the day. It was inspiring to see our team, and the wider community, come together to make a real difference for kiwi kids and their families.
