Kick with the Crusaders – Hosted by Miles Kia

At Miles Kia, we’re all about connection, whether it’s through cars, community, or kicking a rugby ball around with some of the best in the game.

This season, we’ve teamed up with the Crusaders once again to bring the energy, excitement, and a bit of footy magic to our customers and community. As part of our lead-up to our Kick for the Kia halftime competition (where three lucky fans will take a shot at winning a brand-new Kia Stonic), we hosted a special event; Kick with the Crusaders. We invited our Kia customers to join us for an afternoon to learn from the pros, meet Crusaders players and coaches, and get some insider tips to sharpen their goal-kicking skills before the big competition.

Crusaders pat on back

Held at Malvern Park (thanks to a last-minute weather pivot from Rugby Park), it turned into the perfect sunny afternoon. Families, fans, and future kickers joined us for a relaxed, feel-good afternoon of fun, food, and footy.

Crusaders players Rivez Reihana, James O’Connor, Noah Hotham, and Chay Fihaki were there on the day, along with Crusaders coaches Brad Mooar and James Marshall. Whether you were having your first-ever crack at a kick or were a seasoned fan, everyone got the chance to have a go, get some pro tips, and grab a sausage from the BBQ while they were at it. The players wrapped things up with a Q&A, signed a few autographs, and snapped some pictures with fans to top it all off.

It was the kind of event we love: no pressure, good vibes, great people, and an unforgettable afternoon. Kids ran around with their heroes, parents got involved, and the players were all in; helping, laughing, and making memories with our crew.

Events like Kick with the Crusaders and the Kick for the Kia competition reflect a bigger goal for us: to use our platform as a local business to give back in ways that feel genuine and fun. It’s about giving people something to look forward to, and about turning ordinary moments into something extraordinary.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who came along to Kick with the Crusaders, and of course to the Crusaders themselves for continuing to support and believe in our shared vision of community connection. We can’t wait for the big halftime moment, and to hopefully see someone drive off in their brand-new Kia.

If you haven’t already, make sure to enter our Kick for the Kia competition, then join us at Apollo Projects Stadium on Friday 23 May for the Crusaders vs Highlanders match. It’s set to be an unforgettable night of rugby, community and celebration, and we’d love to see you there.
