Autoworld Timaru Continues Their Support of Heart Kids South Canterbury
Earlier this month, Autoworld Timaru was delighted to hand over a brand new Kia Rio to Nicky from Heart Kids South Canterbury They’ve been a Principal Sponsor to the charity for several years and are proud to be able to provide them with a vehicle that allows the charity to continue the amazing work that they do.
Autoworld Timaru began sponsoring Heart Kids South Canterbury in 2018 as a way of giving back to the community. Johan Smit, Dealer Principal said, “We want to contribute in a small way as it’s not fair that children don’t get everything they need in life.”
Heart Kids South Canterbury Community Family Support Nicky Merritt says,
“Heart Kids South Canterbury would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Words cannot express how much you have touched our hearts with your generosity, support, kindness, and friendship. The awareness the Kia Rio is going to create for Heart Kids will be massive – what brilliant advertising – and for this we are truly grateful to you all.
This will benefit the branch, our families, and be especially helpful to me when visiting our heart families in their homes and at the hospital. We are going to look so professional out in the community, at fundraisers, and events! Our heart kids and their families are very grateful for your support, and we are honoured and privileged to have you as our Principal Sponsor.
From our hearts to yours, thank you.”
In addition to the vehicle, Autoworld Timaru has also sponsored a day out at the movies and weekends away for the children at Heart Kids. The charity ahs been in operation since 2000, and supports children born with childhood or congenital heart defects, which equates to about 12 babies a week and 550 major heart surgeries performed each year. Heart Kids helps by offering information, social gatherings, and travel assistance – which is why the vehicle really comes in handy!
