Spotlight on staff success at the 2023 TOSCAR Awards

Marked as a notable highlight of the social calendar, it’s always an exciting time for the teams at Miles Toyota, Miles Toyota Airport, Miles Group Pre-Delivery Centre, ILAM Toyota, and Lexus of Christchurch when the annual TOSCAR Awards roll around.

A wonderful night of celebrating staff success over an evening of delicious food, drinks, entertainment, and awards ensues each year, and the 2023 event was no exception. The glamourous night out is a way for the dealerships to gather and celebrate the hard work and success among employees, whilst also being a fantastic opportunity to socialise with different departments outside of a work environment.

The TOSCAR (Toyota Oscar) is a symbol of pride, reminiscent of the coveted golden statues awarded to Hollywood stars. The prestigious awards have been a long-standing tradition for over 10 years, continually surpassing expectations each year. This year’s colourful-themed awards took place at Majestic in the central city, with over 160 team members gathering in their finest for what was an exceptional evening.

Long Service Awards

Long service is something that is near and dear to our hearts. We value our team and hope that they’ll want to work for the Miles Group for many years to come! Between Miles Toyota, Miles Toyota Airport, Miles Group Pre-Delivery Centre, ILAM Toyota, and Lexus of Christchurch, we’ve got a few employees that have been with us for over a decade – if not longer.

Bestowing them with a bottle of bubbly, we commemorated their long service and look forward to many more decades with our team.

The Evening

Our Events Coordinator Jaimee took the opportunity to plan a fabulous evening and ran with it – and it was fantastic to use a number of local vendors in doing so.

The night’s fabulous food was catered by Crisp & Vale Catering, who provided an enticing array of canapes, mains, and desserts. Flowers throughout the venue provided the finishing touch, thanks to For Flowers Sake.

Oscar Kightley MC’d the evening, while the talented band Tina and the Turners entertained us with their captivating voices and personalities. Finally, the whole evening was captured by local photographer Jared Yeoward. Thank you all for your help on the special evening!
