Customer Service Excellence in the Miles Group
In the spirit of celebrating the customer service stars within our group of dealerships, we introduce you to this new article series. After all, all branding, advertising, and even our vehicles aside, it’s the people within our business that are the essential ingredients when it comes to happy customers.
This month we bring you some fantastic feedback from multiple customers of our Pacific Toyota branches in the Bay of Plenty.
“She stayed over an hour past closing time…”
Michele Morris is our Fleet Account Manager at Pacific Toyota. Having past experience in our finance team, Michele is very well placed when it comes to finding the right fleet vehicle for our business customers, as well as the best possible finance option to suit their needs. Despite her position, you’ll often find Michele working directly with members of the public to help them find the right car for their needs.
One recent customer told us that they were running late for an appointment with Michele and they were worried that they’d now be arriving just as we were closing. This was no problem at all for our team:
“I was held up due to a traffic accident and was an hour late picking up my car. Michele then stayed over an hour past closing time and was so reassuring that I wasn’t holding her up on a Friday night… when I’m sure I was! Michele was friendly, very knowledgable about the car I purchased, and answered all my questions.” – Renay B.
As Michele says:
“Renay came in stuck for a car, hers had been written off and she was struggling to get by with only one vehicle for the house. She had never purchased a new car, fortunately Renay was well researched when she came in. It was was even more exciting to be able to get her new car swiftly.”

Positive & Polite
Meanwhile at Pacific Toyota’s Whakatāne branch, Bruce left his visit to the service department with a new found admiration for the team, along with a new vehicle to add to his wishlist!
“I was delighted with my visit to Pacific Toyota Whakatāne. Every team member I spoke to was positive and polite, and I was particularly impressed by the number of female staff, front front-of-house to mechanics. I’ll be returning for my next service, and while I was there a used Toyota sparked my interest so you may even hear from me before then! A very satisfied customer.” – Bruce McDonald
