Feeding the Families at Ronald McDonald House with Miles Toyota

The Miles Toyota team were excited to once again return to the Ronald McDonald House for their annual Family Dinner Programme. Cooking a feast for these families is one of the most rewarding experiences for us, and we’re consistently humbled that we can provide something as simple as a warm, home-cooked meal at a tough time.

The Ronald McDonald House is a charity that’s near and dear to the hearts of the Miles Toyota team. Since the charity was established in Christchurch, Miles Toyota has provided vehicles, volunteers, and cash donations to help the House support children and their families. The House works hard to create a special, safe, and comfortable environment for families of children needing hospital attention, at no cost to the families. We’re proud to help such a worthy cause.

On the menu

Our Miles Toyota team are well-versed in whipping up a feast for the families. It was pie night this time, with the group of six serving up an assortment of delicious pies and quiches. Accompanying the main attraction was an assortment of salads, including a classic potato salad.

It all went down a treat, and then it was time for the cherry on top – hot dessert pie, served with ice cream and custard.

More than just dinner

Miles Toyota continues to support the house through the use of vehicles, A Day at the Polo (presented by Miles Toyota), weekly employee donations matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, plus additional dealership fundraising efforts. Every year the team pull together a special group of ‘angels in aprons’ to cook for the families. A rewarding and humbling experience; one the Miles Toyota team hold very close to their hearts.
