Best Hybrid, the Toyota Corolla Cross
Since the conception of the Prius, Toyota has long been a leader in the hybrid vehicle segment. If you’re a betting person, odds are you’d have likely picked a Toyota to win the hybrid category. And you’d be right. It comes as a surprise to few the Corolla Cross has just been awarded the AA Driven Best Hybrid of 2023. The ultimate symbiosis of hybrid technology and an iconic nameplate that’s been beloved for decades, the Corolla Cross ticks all the boxes for Kiwi drivers.

People’s Choice Award, the Toyota RAV4
The votes have been tallied, and for the second year running the Toyota RAV4 has been crowned the AA Driven Car Guide People’s Choice for 2023. This award is particularly special to us as it’s voted on by people like you, so thank you. A three-time winner, the RAV4 also took out People’s Choice in 2019. Whilst it’s not the best-selling vehicle in New Zealand, it was no contest when it came to People’s Choice with the RAV4 racking up almost as many votes as the two runner-ups (Ford Ranger and BYD Atto 3) combined.
